The Pack's Doctor--Derived Series

She is a medical student, studying at a human university to be a doctor. Unlike most, she majors in human and veterinary medicine, and minors in zoology. Aware that there's a shortage of doctors for injured pack members due to constant pack wars, she's been on her own for years after fleeing her previous pack, aiming to one day return and be the top doctor for the packs.

He is an Alpha, involved in the never — ending wars and battles between packs. A young, strong, and powerful Alpha, he's yet to find his mate because of the continuous fighting.

One day, when she's out letting her wolf run, she finds him caught in a bear trap set by other packs. He's in wolf form and can't shift without seriously hurting himself. She carefully opens the trap, freeing him. He recognizes her as his mate, and when his pack arrives, he refuses to leave her.

She doesn't want to go with his pack but can't resist him. When she learns that the person she fled from is now the Alpha of his own pack, she realizes that being with him, her mate who won't let her go, might be the safest option for her.
