Synopsis. On December 23, 2017, PM Melqui Oliveira passed away and a Rio newspaper published the following headline: PM dies during an attempted bank robbery in São Cristóvão; number of police officers killed in RJ this year rises to 132. The agent (Corporal) approached the robbers and was killed with fifteen shots. The number of police officers murdered in the last twenty-two years reaches 3,118. The newspaper concluded. In this book, I did thorough research into how the deaths of all 134 military police officers, who were murdered in the State of Rio de Janeiro in 2017, happened.
