The Westminster Confession of Faith is a monumental document on reformed doctrine. It was commissioned in the seventeenth century by the English Parliament, who brought together respected theologians to discuss important doctrinal issues for the Church of England. Over the course of five years, these experts debated and refined their ideas into the form they exist in today. The Westminster Confession has been largely influential for the past several hundred years and is considered by many to be second only to Scripture itself.
