Tom Bradby

Thomas Matthew Bradby is a British journalist and novelist best known for his work as a presenter on ITV News at Ten. His debut novel, Shadow Dancer ((1998)), was adapted into a film starring Clive Owen and Andrea Riseborough and premiered at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival.

Tom Bradby was born in Malta in 1967 to a Royal Navy family. After spending time in Northern Ireland, Bradby moved to Britain, growing up in Bracknell, Berkshire. After attending Westbourne House School and Sherborne School, he studied history at the University of Edinburgh.

Bradby's career with ITN began in 1990 as an editorial trainee. By 1992, he had become a producer for ITV's political editor, Michael Brunson. From 1993 to 1996, he was ITV's correspondent in Ireland, covering major events, including the Northern Ireland peace process and Bill Clinton's visit. In 1999, Bradby reported on the Jakarta riots for ITV, during which he was injured.

Returning to Britain, Bradby served as a royal correspondent, covering major royal events before transitioning to political reporting. As ITV's political editor from 2005 to 2015, he interviewed Prince William and Kate Middleton upon their engagement.

His engagement with royal affairs continued, presenting ITV's coverage of Prince Philip's funeral and the coronation of King Charles III.

As an author, Bradby has penned ten novels, including the Secret Service series, which features books like Secret Service, Double Agent, and Triple Cross.

Tom Bradby currently resides in the rural village of Houghton in Hampshire with his wife Claudia and their three children.
