I wrenched my wrist out of his grip, narrowing my eyes at him

“It’s not her I want to hurt. She can’t help being married to you.”

“If you think about trying something, don’t. I don’t want to hurt you, but if you hurt Kiara, I’ll make it very painful for you.”

“You’ll stay here.”

“You can’t have it all. You have to make a choice.”

She shook her head. “I made my choice, Remo. I chose you and I’ll choose you over and over again.”

Fuck. I didn’t deserve this woman.

My chest tightened. I didn’t tell her that my mother was still very much alive. I brought Serafina’s hand up to my face and kissed her palm then the scar I had created

“How did you know?”

He regarded me with an expression that sent a little shiver down my spine. “Because my brothers don’t knock, they barge in, and Kiara usually stays away from my bedroom.”
